Getting to and around the Conference Venue

  1. Getting to the Conference Venue
    The NTU Campus is served by public bus services 179, 179A, and 199. Drivers may travel via the PIE and use the Jalan Bahar (Exit 36), or Pioneer North (Exit 38) exits. More information on getting to NTU can be found here. Conference attendees may also register for a shuttle bus service between Boon Lay Bus Interchange (connected to Boon Lay MRT Station; EW27) and the conference venue. Attendees wishing to use this shuttle service may register for the service in the conference registration form.

  2. Walking between Conference Venues
    The Nanyang Auditorium, NIE, and The Arc are about a 10-minute walk away from each other. There will be signage and conference staff on-site to provide directions. Attendees may also refer to the map of NTU below.

    An interactive campus map of NTU can be found here. The page includes the locations of the Nanyang Auditorium, NIE, and The Arc on campus. Several locations within The Arc and the NIE campus will be used for conference sessions. Attendees may refer to the interactive campus map (for sessions held at The Arc) and the NIE campus map (for sessions held at NIE) to locate sessions that they wish to attend.

    Food will be catered for conference attendees. Attendees considering other food outlets on campus may refer to the NTU website for available options and recommendations from the university community.

NIE Visitors Learning Centre (NIEVLC)

Themed "Past, Present, and Future," the NIEVLC narrates Singapore's teacher education evolution from the 1950s to the present and possible future. Visitors can take a self-directed tour around the Centre’s five zones which are equipped with interactive features like animations and multimedia displays.

1. Chinese Heritage Centre (CHC)

Uncover the richness of global ethnic Chinese communities at the CHC in NTU. Housed in a historic building, the CHC offers a research centre, a museum, and a library. Don't miss the chance to admire its unique architecture and enjoy the serene surroundings of Yunnan Garden and Nantah Lake nearby.

2. The Hive (Learning Hub South)

NIE Visitors Learning Centre (NIEVLC)

The Hive, NTU's architectural marvel resembling a beehive, houses 56 smart classrooms tailored for flipped classroom learning. Designed by Thomas Heatherwick, this building has attracted numerous visitors globally.

3. Yunnan Garden

Visit the revitalised Yunnan Garden, adorned with over 1,000 new trees, a 5.6-metre-tall waterfall, and thematic mini gardens. Unwind in this expansive 9-hectare heritage sanctuary boasting upgraded amenities such as a boardwalk, enhanced stormwater management, and garden-wide Wi-Fi.
